Of course, a little good fortune also plays a part: all our vineyards are situated in world famous locations - Graacher Himmelreich, Graacher Domprobst, Bernkasteler Bratenhöfchen and, above all, Wehlener Sonnenuhr. It is only their |
exposed position and ex- tremely mineral-rich, heat- storing Devonian shale rock that makes it possible to cultivate the demanding Riesling grape - the queen of white wine grapes - at this high level. And we strive to develop fully this vine culture through moderate yields, high-quality grapes and long vine life. A high location is by no means everything - what is more important is what one makes of it. |
